Your wallpaper pattern design has arrived - 
now what?

Use this space to give an overview of your blog post. Is the purpose of it to teach, inform or entertain? You could open with a question to a problem your reader may be facing or a statement to grab their attention. Make it enticing so that your reader wants to continue reading.

Make your blog post scannable and easy-to-read. Avoid long paragraphs of copy and instead, break it up into small sized chunks of goodness. Including space between the sections will provide "air" for your copy to breath and allow your reader's eyes to rest in-between each point.

For an informative post, you could give a numbered list and steps to follow. Maybe you turned your pattern into wallpaper and want to share how to hang it. Here's a small snippet.

1. Tape measure
2. Smoothing tool
3. Razor or blade

Then break this list up into manageable steps that your reader can follow. Such as this example.

STEP 1: Flatten the wallpaper
Once I received the wallpaper pieces, I unrolled them, weighed them down with books (so that the wallpaper is flat) and leave them for about an hour. 

STEP 2: Prepare the area
The wall I chose was free of outlets, nails, screws and vents. If your wall isn’t, remove them and wipe down the area to remove any dust or dirt. 

STEP 3: Measure the area
Measure where you want the wallpaper to hang. 

Breaking up the copy with sub-headings is another great way to make it easier for your reader to digest your post (and also great for SEO). 

Using this method makes reading a long post more enjoyable (and more likely to be read). It goes from feeling like a page out of a textbook to something that they want to keep reading.

The final part of your blog post should include a CTA (Call to action). This tells your reader what you want them to do next. Never assume they will know what to do. What may seem obvious to you could be a light bulb moment for them.
